To say that this year has taken an expected turn is an understatement.

Hi, my name is Kaylee and I’m co-owner of The Croft at Emma Creek. What started as a side gig to bring in some extra income has grown at an alarming rate into something that was once only possible in my dreams.
We’ve lived on our land for five years and from the moment we walked onto it, with about 15 other potential buyers, we knew this was where we wanted to put down our roots and raise our family. Since then, we’ve gone through countless renovations and projects, a few floods in our creek, years of drought, livestock and pet losses, picnics, midnight fishing runs, and so much more. As we’ve planted our family into this home and land, we’ve come to realize how much of a dream this is for so many, and while we can’t move everyone out here with us, we can invite everyone out to create their own special memories with their family and friends.
Enter…The Croft.
Why the Croft?
A Croft is a Scottish word for a small family farm in the highlands that existed to support a family. My Scottish history is something I dearly love so it’s a special thing to bring small pieces of my heritage to the land where I’m raising my family.
Exciting Things Coming!
Currently, our property is open for photographers, giving access to our barn, creek, meadow, woodshed, and 15 acres of woods. We’re so excited, however to open the doors of our 400 square foot greenhouse, The Lantern House, by the first week of October. The Lantern House will be opening just in time for some beautiful fall minis and family sessions, Christmas card photos, and some special fun events we can’t wait to announce.
As we finish the greenhouse, we will also be finishing up the dressing room and bathroom we’ll have available for our clients to use.
Looking Ahead to Spring
I know, we’re just stepping into the doorway of Autumn, but we are so excited about what’s coming in the Spring of 2027. We will be planting an 800-square foot sunflower field, a zinnia field, and a lavender field. We will also have several wildflower fields planted and ready. Next year is set to be a full, colorful time at The Croft and we can’t wait to share it with our community.
For now, if you’re a photographer with clients looking for a lovely country backdrop, a family or creative looking for a venue, or you’re ready to book a date for our greenhouse, we’re ready and waiting for you! Reach out through our contact form or email us at hello@thecroftks.com and we’ll be in touch!
