Whether you listen to Aristotle or Mary Poppins, I’ve been reminding myself of this quote. As the roof of our building has come off, littering the ground with nails and rotted shingles, I’m holding tightly to my imaginings of our completed greenhouse. If you’ve ever watched any sort of home organization show, you’ve heard, “it gets worse before it gets better.”
We’re living in the middle of that very thing.
We laid out the windows last night from our trailer, and I became giddy all over again looking at the size and condition they were in.
We acquired them through Facebook marketplace of course, and found that the owners had purchased them years ago with the same intention we have: the build a greenhouse.
My mind is racing with ideas of events and get togethers we might be able to host, while my husband kindly requests that I do one thing at a time. (Not my strong suit.)
A Few Setbacks
When the roof came off, we discovered that several of the boards supporting the roof were in less than ideal condition and will need to be replaced. This adds extra time, and money, to our process but we’re still holding onto an opening date no later than mid October.
As we’ve begun to book clients on our property for photo sessions, we’re already overwhelmed with gratitude that we have something that we love and that we get to share with others, all while being apart of memories that they will hopefully carry for years to come.
We’re certainly in the middle mess at the moment when it’s difficult to see that beautiful greenhouse at the end of the tunnel, but it’s coming and we can’t wait to share it with you.
